American Heart Association — in-person (no online training required)

American Heart Association Heartsaver Total: First Aid/CPR/AED

American Heart Association Basic Life Support Provider

The American Heart Association Basic Life Support Provider course is a required course for most healthcare jobs and will teach students to recognize and respond to cardiac and respiratory emergencies for all ages. Students must have a copy of the AHA BLS Provider Manual during class, which is provided by us free of charge as part of the class.

This class is fully in-person, and will be held at 3780 West 11th Ave., Eugene, OR.

American Red Cross — in-person (no online training required)

American Red Cross Adult & Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED

The American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED course is taught by highly trained experts with training in search and rescue and disaster relief. Students will learn to identify and treat life-threatening injuries and illnesses by employing the Emergency Action Steps.

This class is fully in-person, making it a convenient option for students who learn best in the classroom or those who may not be able to complete the online portion of a hybrid class. Students who prefer hybrid classes (2-hour online learning + 3-hour in-person skills session) should consider registering for our hybrid class.

This class will be held at 3780 West 11th Ave., Eugene, OR 97402.

STUDENTS WITH MEDICAL CONDITIONS:
If you have any medical conditions which may hinder your ability to perform certain skills in the course, such as mobility or joint impairments, we advise you to first contact us at training@lifesavercprfirstaid.com to discuss possible alternatives that may be provided. We can usually find a reasonable, alternative method of performing a skill which will still allow students to meet the training requirements of the course. However, if we cannot find a reasonable alternative which will allow you to perform the necessary skills, such as performing chest compressions and rescue breaths on the ground, we will be unable to issue a certification card.

American Red Cross Adult & Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED + STOP THE BLEED

The American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED course is taught by highly trained experts with training in search and rescue and disaster relief. Students will learn to identify and treat life-threatening injuries and illnesses by employing the Emergency Action Steps. The STOP THE BLEED class provides additional training specific to life-threatening bleeding that is not discussed in the basic first aid class. This class combines both trainings.

This class is fully in-person, making it a convenient option for students who learn best in the classroom or those who may not be able to complete the online portion of a hybrid class. Students who prefer hybrid classes (2-hour online learning + 4-hour in-person skills session) should consider registering for our hybrid class.

This is a hybrid class, consisting of about two hours of online training, followed by a three-hour in-person skills session. Students will receive an email from the American Red Cross within a day with a link to the online training, which must be completed before the in-person skills session. Students who prefer fully in-person classes should consider registering for our 5-hour in-person class.

The in-person skills session will be held at 3780 West 11th Ave., Eugene, OR 97402.

American Red Cross Basic Life Support Provider

The American Red Cross Basic Life Support course will teach students to recognize cardiac and respiratory emergencies and respond appropriately with rescue breathing, high-quality CPR, and defibrillation. Students are not required to bring a copy of the student manual to class, as the online training already covers it.

This is a hybrid class, with two hours of online training followed by a three-hour in-person skills session. Within a few hours of registering, students will be provided an email from Salesforce Automation Account with access to the online training. The online training must be completed prior to participating in the in-person skills session.

American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor Course — Eugene, OR

This course is designed for individuals who are First Aid/CPR/AED certified and ready to become an American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor. Students will develop the knowledge, skills, and teaching techniques needed to confidently teach these lifesaving skills.

No medical background is required. Students must be at least 16 years old, hold a current First Aid/CPR/AED certification, and demonstrate proficiency in the skills covered by the course.

Because this is an instructor-level course, students should arrive with a solid understanding of First Aid/CPR/AED skills. The course focuses on teaching and demonstrating these skills rather than providing basic instruction.

Students will demonstrate their knowledge and skills during the course. Reviewing and practicing beforehand is recommended. Additional practice is available by registering for one of our First Aid/CPR/AED courses.

Upon completion, students receive an American Red Cross Instructor certification. Certification does not guarantee alignment with Lifesaver CPR & First Aid. Students must be aligned with a Licensed Training Provider before teaching American Red Cross courses. Instructor alignment information is covered during the course.

teacher kept it light when it could be and brought the whole class back to being serious when needed. great learning environment, I feel like I absorbed more in this class than my two previous first aid/cpr classes combined.

I took the 6 hour in person class and was thankfull for it, Dominik was very articulate about the info in the class while also having a sense of humor. There is a lot of information presented in this class but it is absolutly passable if you pay attention. I will definitly be attending again!

I actually feel like I learned everything, got to practice real world situations, and was really challenged, unlike that lady that does the class in her house. Dominik is very professional. He doesn't shame you for getting something wrong, only gentle correction or scanning the room for another answer. We worked a lot in teams and recieved a ton of hands-on training. All you have to do is study, study, study before and after, whether you do the in-person teaching portion or the hybrid. I highly recommend the in-person teaching portion due to Dominik's personable teaching style and extensive knowledge. From your phone, it's easy to get distracted, but the Hilton meeting room is quite a comfortable place to focus and absorb everything.
